Saw Fairport last night in Birkenhead, the only word that springs to mind is 'magical'. I try and see them every time they are in the locale but they excelled themselves last night. Chris Leslie's rendition of the Cell Song from Babbacombe Lee was a joy , Gerry Conway a star as always ,Ric's ramblings humourous as ever , Peggy's legs there for all to see and Simon being Mr Cool as always. Looking forward to the next visit.

Would love to have seen the acoustic Convention, but sadly no dates around the south London or Surrey area, strangely.

We had the pleasure of seeing the chaps last Sunday at the Customs House in South Shields. It was fantastic to witness a 5 piece acoustic line-up. We brought with us a Fairport virgin, plus a couple of other friends who have only occasionally had the pleasure of seeing Fairport, and they all had a marvellous time. They all commented on the superb musicianship, and we cannot argue with that. Thanks once again Fairport.
